JAZZ EARN FIRST FRANCHISE WIN AGAINST WINDSOR

MONTREAL, QC - The Montreal Jazz (1-17) enjoyed victory for the first time in 18 games this season, stopping the Windsor Express 104-98.

Despite 42 points in the fourth quarter, Windsor (8-12) couldn't close the gap and dropped the first of three straight games in Montreal.

The Express took a 25-17 lead after the first quarter, but saw that advantage dwindle away in the second, being outscored 27-17 and going into the locker room down 46-42 at halftime.

Darren Duncan led the charge for Windsor with 24 points and 7 assists. Player of the Week, Chris Commons had 20 points.

Kevin Loiselle scored a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards, playing in his home town.

The Jazz countered with six players putting up double figures in points, topped by J.R. Harrison's 17.

Montreal also benefitted from 57 bench points, countered by Windsor's 24.

The Express and Jazz tip off tomorrow and Saturday night at 7pm.

Catch the next Express home game at the WFCU Centre on January 18th against last year's runner up champions, Halifax Rainmen. The Express will face the Rainmen at home for the first time since beating them at their opening game at 7PM EST.
