(Windsor) The Windsor Spitfires today announced that they have renewed their affiliation with the LaSalle Vipers OHA Junior B Hockey Club for the 2009-2010 season. The Spitfires and Vipers will work closely in the development of hockey talent during the upcoming campaign.
“The Windsor Spitfires are very fortunate to partner up with the Vipers for another season. I believe this is a good working relationship for both organizations and will allow us to make our respective teams stronger this season,” said Windsor Spitfires Vice-President and General Manager Warren Rychel.
“We’re glad to renew our relationship with the best junior hockey club in North America. Through our association with the Spitfires, we have the unique opportunity to follow in Windsor’s footsteps by sharing with the Spits in the development of players as we continue to build a championship caliber team in LaSalle,” commented LaSalle Vipers General Manager Kevin McIntosh.

Tomorrow morning, Windsor Spitfire players and the Memorial Cup will be visiting Tecumseh Arena as part of Tecumseh Minor Hockey’s Registration day activities from 10 am – 1 pm. Fans can obtain autographs from the players, take pictures with the Memorial Cup and also purchase Spitfire merchandise.
