Windsor Express Top Oshawa Power 127-93

WINDSOR, ON - The Windsor Express dropped the Oshawa Power with a 127-93 score at the WFCU, Feb. 6.

Chris Commons led the Express in their second straight win with 31 points on 11-18 shooting, including 6-6 from three-point range.

Mike Helms was 5-9 from three and finished with 21 points.

Darren Duncan scored six points and facilitated the offense with 16 assists. Duncan is currently leads the National Basketball League of Canada in assists per game.

The Power started off the game cold from the field and trailed the Express 29-17 after one quarter. That lead ballooned up to 19 for the Express at half-time and the score was 94-68 after three quarters. Shooting was a problem for the Power, especially from three-point range, as they shot only 25 per cent compared to the Express' 55.

This win puts Windsor's record to 12-16 while Oshawa falls to 17-12. These teams will meet three times in the month of March in games that will certainly have playoff implications.
