Local Windsor Athletes were in Port Huron last night fighting for at the Battle at the Border 11 promoted by Xtreme Caged Combat (XCC). Team Maximum went an impressive 3 wins and 0 losses last night and some new championship hardware was brought back to Windsor.
Thought by many as the underdog coming into this fight Chris "the titan" Highton silenced everyone. With a new regime and standard of work ethic that is expected by the athlete's of Team Maximum this night we were treated to the best Highton anyone has ever seen before. Highton squared off against a tough fighter from Sarnia fighting in his own backyard, Chris "Canadian Bacon" Logan. Highton shocked the entire crowd by winning by a TKO stoppage in the 1st round and looked to control this match from the start of the bell to become the new XCC welterweight (170lbs) champion.
Randa Markos, is fresh off her Canadian Championship at Grapplers Quest a couple of weeks ago. Markos continued to grow in the sport showing great composure vs. national level amateur boxer Bernice Booth (Niagara Falls) before finally closing the distance and taking her down and finishing the fight by a TKO in first round and is set up to contend for the XCC title on her upcoming fight for this organization.

In Montreal Saturday night London Fighter - Chris "The Menace" Clements(ATC-LONDON) retired formed UFC fighter Jonathan Goulet via KO at 1:06 of Round 2 to win the vacant Ringside MMA Welterweight Championship Title
In other MMA news, UFC 145lb Title Contender Mark the Machine Hominick will be once again be at Maximum Fitness Centre November 20th teaching a TEEN KIDS MMA Program and taking pictures and signing autographs.
