In Play! Magazine - Lasalle Vipers named ‘Team of the Year’
Vipers named ‘Team of the Year’ for on-ice success, community work.
LaSalle – The Vipers were named the ‘Team of the Year’ by the LaSalle Kin Club at their annual Community Fund Awards night, held at LaSalle’s Town Hall June 25.
The award was accepted on behalf of the team by Vipers captain Brett Langlois and marketing coordinator Rob Benneian.
The award recognizes the local team that ‘not only finds success in their competitive environment, but contributes to the community at large’, according to Kin Club director Chuck Stoffle.
The Vipers – on the strength of a ‘never quit’ attitude – reached the Sutherland Cup finals this past spring, marking the third trip to the All-Ontario finals for the franchise since 2008.
