Windsor Minor Hockey Association Annual Day of Champions

Sunday March 4th the Windsor Minor Hockey Association Annual Day of Champions will be held at the South Windsor Arena. It is a great day of Championship games from Novice to Midget starting at 8:30am - 6pm. There is no charge to watch some great hockey. MCM Collectibles will also be there along with the WMHA Cup. Hope to see you there and spread the word.


There will also be a "Special offer for WMHA fans"

For only $15 you can have a ticket, pop & hotdog for the Windsor Spitfire game Thursday March 8th vs the Soo Greyhounds.

Remember there is overflow parking at the back of South Windsor on the East side of the building

Seven AKO Fratmen to attend Under Armour Sport Testing Football Combine

February 26th, 2012

Seven members of 2011 AKO Fratmen football team will be attending the CFL Sanctioned “Under Armour Sport Testing Football Combine” in Toronto, Ontario. The invitation only combine will be held on Thursday March 1st, 2012 at 12:00pm at the Downsview Park Dome.

Bellator 64 Coming to Windsor Friday, April 6, 2012

After a dominating run through the Season 5 Welterweight Tournament, Douglas “The Phenom” Lima is ready for the greatest test of his career when he battles reigning, undefeated Bellator Welterweight Champion Ben Askren for a shot at the world title. The two will clash LIVE at Caesars Windsor in Windsor, Ontario, Canada on Friday, April 6. Tickets for this event are on sale and are available via CaesarsWindsor.com or by visiting Ticketmaster.ca.

Tickets are priced from $30-$125 Canadian.


The event will broadcast starting at 8 p.m. ET on MTV2 and in commercial-free HD on EPIX. Doors open to The Colosseum at 6 p.m. ET, with the first fight entering the cage at 7 p.m. ET. The preliminary card will be streamed LIVE and FREE around the world on Spike.com starting at 7 p.m. CT.

Border City Brawlers Give Back

Windsor's only roller derby league is hosting a fundraiser for local cancer survivor Tina Westlake.

Saturday, February 18, 2012, at the Riverside Sportsmans' Club, the BCB is holding a pasta fundraiser with all proceeds going to Mrs. Westlake and her family. The cost per ticket is $20 or two for $30. There are two sittings: the first is at 12:30pm and the second is at 2:30pm. During each sitting a TV will be raffled off. There will also be a 50/50 draw and local vendors selling merchandise to help support the Westlake family.

The Border City Brawlers is committed to positively impacting the local community and its members by supporting local groups, charities and persons in need.
